ll funds received by the Friends of the Library through memberships, special events and contributions are used exclusively for Library collections and the many projects the Library undertakes that are not funded by the Orange County Public Library System, e.g. The Summer Reading Program.
During the fiscal year ending June 30, 2014, the Friends have received grants totalling $6,000 from the PTA, Target Stores, and LARCS - Ladera Ranch Community Services. In addition, the Friends Bookstore earns about $2,000 each year. Memberships, contributions and Gift-a-Book receipts have provided an additional $1,250.
We want to improve and expand upon what our Library offers our community. You can help by becoming a member of the Friends of the Library. Members receive via email Friends' financial and statistical info prior to board meetings and notification when our website is updated, keeping you current about Library events.
